Meeting Naankuse in Namibia

In December 2025, Valérie Messika travelled to Namibia to meet the Naankuse teams and learn more about the programmes the Foundation was considering supporting. This field visit provided first-hand insight into the challenges faced by local communities and the impact of initiatives that bring together wildlife conservation, access to education, and the preservation of cultural heritage.

Through meetings with local teams and beneficiaries, the visit highlighted the close connection between environmental protection and community development. It also offered a deeper understanding of the long-term commitment required to create sustainable change and support future generations.
 

A meaningful experience that strengthened the conviction that protecting people and protecting nature are intrinsically linked, and reinforced the Foundation’s desire to support Naankuse and its mission.
